| Customer Reviews: Great for KIDS!! No Sting makes boo boo's better! June 23, 2010 Brett Winstead (NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my kids because the regular bandages just don't hold up to an active child. I read another review from someone that said he had to keep reapplying it. I think the key is to apply several laters at the first application. But you have to let it dry completely between layers.
The "No Sting" aspect of this product really helps "sell" it to a kid! My youngest son won't use anything else, he cries when I run out & have to use a regular bandage strip. Which is hard to do on knees & elbows, the most frequently scraped areas on kids, so he gets really upset when I don't have it!
It is getting harder to find in my local stores so I am having to resort to online purchases of it now. I do hope they keep making this product, well at least until my kids are grown! LOL
My only complaint about the product is that you have to be very careful about keeping the sprayer cleaned out after every use because it will dry in there & you will have to use a different technique to apply it once that happens.
If you have kids, this stuff is a must have in your first aide kit!!
good Cavilon substitute February 5, 2010 Judy's mom (NYC area) Someone on a website recommended this as a substitute for Cavilon spray. We are using it to protect skin that is heading for a bedsore on a bedridden elderly person. It is helping very much at half the price of the Cavilon product.
Equal to an adhesive bandage strip in protection. July 2, 2008 Joseph R. Kennedy (NJ, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product assuming it would seal my cut with a waterproof bacteria proof layer. It easily lost integrity whenever it was wet while washing my hands, which reopened my cut and caused annoyance and constant reapplication. A standard "Band-Aid" Adhesive Strip type of bandage would have provided the same layer of water sensitive barrior, but I guess this was more durable when dry and less permeable to bacteria than an adhesive strip. I will use this in the future when water isn't an issue, but when I need to get wet I'll seal cuts with a different Cyanoacrylate glue. Perhaps I will try LiquiVet, Vetbond or Dermabond.
